Andrea Picard LCPC, ATR-BC, RPT
My approach is down to earth and humanistic with a good sense of humor so together we can build a strong working therapeutic relationship. The importance of belonging, understanding the influence between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to make shifts in how life is approached, and gaining more awareness of overall life patterns is my foundational approach to structuring treatment. Neuroscience to gather information and provide self-understanding, and Sensorimotor approaches to strengthen attunement and navigate an intuitive self lens. And within these approaches I use art, sand tray, play, and talk to navigate the course of therapy.
Andrea received her bachelor’s degree from The Maryland Institute College of Art, and her Master’s degree from Adler University. She has extensive training focused on sand tray work and is working toward a certificate of program completion of a 10 level training program from The Sand Tray Training Institute of New Mexico.

I strongly believe in the importance of developing + nurturing a felt sense of belonging in helping us navigate through life, and this is a significant aspect of my work in helping people gain strides within this attachment piece.

- In conjunction with my professional work, I am also a live events and concert photographer of almost ten years!
- I was a gymnast growing up and a collegiate diver. I also played ultimate frisbee from high school through college
- One of my favorite things to do is attend concerts and shows with my friends. We used to follow tours all over the country. Many of my long time friends were made through connecting through music.
Patsy Thayieng, MSW, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. Sometimes when the thought patterns and behaviors we develop to cope with hard things no longer serve us, therapeutic intervention can be helpful. My approach is holistic and person-centered. Together we can collaborate to continue your healing journey. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy focusing on affirming truth and challenging negative thought patterns. I also pull from somatic therapeutic techniques. I have 6 years of experience as a school social worker, working with both general education students, and students with IEPs and 504 plans. I deeply value helping young people to take on the hard things life throws at us by developing positive self-talk, identifying helpful coping skills, and being brave! Working with folks as they discover themselves to encourage self acceptance is a big joy of mine. I am elated to meet at the intersection of mental health and creativity.
As a first generation Hmong American woman, I am sensitive to the challenges immigrant and refugee communities face. Including the cross cultural, ecological, systemic, and intergenerational factors at play that impact our functioning and well being. In addition to working with multicultural patients, I am passionate about my work with queer and LGBTQ youth. My therapeutic space offers support and safety to foster resilience and empowerment from within. My work is always rooted in social justice. My values lie in solidarity and compassion.
Patsy received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Augsburg University and her Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago. She is a member of the Asian American Psychologists Association.
